Bass Fishing Trip

We have all seen the bold headlines: “bass fishing trip saves marriage” or “bass fishing saves kittens”, however, there was no real cause to believe the hype besides the romanticism of anglers who want their sport to take over the world. As it would turn out, though, a bass fishing trip could really save your marriage and bass fishing certainly saves kittens as well because if you are out there fishing, the kittens are safe!

Although it may seem absurd, a bass fishing trip really makes a great deal of a difference in the lives of people. Sitting, relaxing and waiting out on the water for the bass to bite is definitely a life-altering experience for a lot of people. The waiting game affords many the luxury to think about many things – their work, goals, life, marriage, plans. A bass fishing trip changes the perspectives and ideas of millions of anglers each year. There is a saying that once you go bass, you never go back. There is something revealing and profound about it all as the cool water breeze drifts over you until that last moment of peace is shattered by the screams of a bass on the fishing line.

Suddenly your peace and quiet gives way to excitement and action. For the angler, there is no greater action in the world than the battle and the struggle between man and the fish on his fishing line. This is what a bass fishing trip is all about; without this struggle, a bass fishing trip is meaningless and life will also be meaningless to bass fishermen. A bass fishing trip in not your ordinary weekend away from it all – it is a rite of passage and a religious experience.

Freedom
A bass fishing trip gives freedom and quiet. Nothing is more overwhelming to bass anglers than being out on the water with just a pole and a line separating you from that wonderful fish – the bass. Bass fishing is a sport that has kept the fires burning in some avid bass fishermen. Trying to separate an angler from his lake is similar to separating a mother from her child with all the pain, anxiety and trouble it entails.

Some may think that a vacation in Florida, Mexico or the Mediterranean is the best thing that can happen in their life but for a bass fisherman those place are worthless if they cannot find a place to put a boat into water and find some bass to catch. On a bass fishing trip, anglers do not have the comfort of hotel rooms they are content with a tent in the woods and would not change places with anyone else. Finding peace is a goal for all of us and most anglers found peace the likes of which we may never find in our own lives simply because we have never taken the plunge to go on a bass fishing trip. We have a lot to learn about bass fishing and life from the story of the angler and taking a great bass fishing trip is a good start.
